I’m Vojta Machytka, a data scientist based in New York City. I grew up in the Czech Republic and have gone through every stage of studying in the United States, from boarding school to college to graduate school at MIT.
I remember how confusing the process felt, from essays and recommendations to scholarships and visas. I started OpenDoor so students applying from abroad have clear, practical guidance from someone who has lived it.
